Beyond Seeing what is there. Much like another dimension.

There's a ton of places , people and things one can capture with photography. After a brief google search, we learn that photography got it's roots around 1822. The first photograph was taken (but the physical copy has since been lost) Taken by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce (pronounced "nyeps"). He holds the record of the earliest picture taken in 1826. Not until 1880 did photography take off and expand into the masses. The first light weight Camera was brought to us by George Eastman and his company, then Kodak was born. 📷🤳

About the artist : Hi, I’m Geoff Friesen — a photographer with a lifelong connection to visual storytelling. I grew up surrounded by the hum of printing presses and the smell of fresh ink. My family worked in the newspaper industry — my grandfather helped build the company, my mother crafted pages as a pre-press specialist, and my uncle ran the press that brought every image to life. Creativity wasn’t just encouraged — it was part of everyday life.


From an early age, I loved drawing and exploring ways to capture what I saw around me. Though I set it aside for a while, I eventually rediscovered that creative spark through photography. The camera became my way of slowing down and really seeing — finding meaning, emotion, and truth in places that might otherwise go unnoticed.


My work focuses on moments of stillness and humanity — the light between the noise, the stories written in faces, and the beauty in imperfection. Photography, for me, is about connection: between people, places, and the unseen presence of something greater.


My Christian faith plays a quiet but constant role in my art. It reminds me that every person and every moment carries value — that even in the simplest scene, there’s a reflection of grace.


Today, through my photography business Beyond Seeing Picturez and Designz, and website you see here, I share that vision — offering fine art prints and digital works that invite others to pause, reflect, and rediscover beauty in the world around them.
